Before your session

Choosing the right photographer can often be a difficult decision.  After all, these images are important to both you and your family! Our aim is to fully understand what you want from your session.  Do you already have an idea in mind of what you like (or don’t like?).  At Individual Photography we love to get in touch prior to the shoot to discuss all of your needs. Knowing the answer to these questions helps us to understand and prepare so that we can get things absolutely perfect for you. Our pre-session meetings allow you to feel comfortable and relaxed, safe in the knowledge that you know what to expect and to look forward to the session itself.

Your session

We also know that having professional photographs might be a bit nerve-wracking or stressful, but we promise to put you at ease and you’ll leave the studio thinking, “wow, that was so much fun!”

From the ample on-site parking to the choice of refreshments and facilities, we hope that from the moment you arrive at our studio you will feel welcomed and comfortable. Your session will last for approximately one to one hour unless it is a newborn shoot; that can be up to three hours! If young children are involved and they are not having a “happy day”, then we can reschedule – no problem.

Your cinema-style viewing

As soon as your images are ready, you will be invited to view them in a cinema-style viewing. We’ll start with a slide show, set to music; this will have been specially designed for you based on the type of shoot you have experienced.  Upbeat and funky for families, gentle and soothing for newborns and young babies. Once your images have been edited  (and we promise that you will recognise yourself – we definitely do not believe in airbrushing people to death!) we invite you to sit back and relax and choose from a selection of refreshments (bring popcorn if you want!).  After your slideshow, we can then help you to select your favourite images that you will be displaying in your home (or office) and spend time with you to help choose your wall products, be they contemporary or traditional.  We can even show you exactly how they will look on your own walls with a clever bit of software (see the video below).  The time set aside for your viewing is included in your voucher or session fee, so it is important that you are able to make your final decisions at this point and we look forward to helping you select the perfect package for you!

Your memories

Our photographs capture those treasured memories for a lifetime and your finished products are chosen by you from a beautiful range of contemporary and traditional wall art. This will enable you to display your images in the best possible presentation method, meaning that you can treasure those memories each and every time you see them.

Cluster tile wall art

Whether you choose your wall art to be displayed in traditional frames or prefer a more contemporary option or even a portfolio album, examples of each are on display in the studio.  Unframed prints are available both individually and in packages, all of which are presented hinge-mounted in an acid-free bevel cut mount and are printed on archival quality photographic paper.  We believe in transparent pricing so you may request a product guide beforehand or you can take one home with you on the day of your session.  We offer individual products from £70 to £840 plus a variety of collections too.

Other products include:

  • Wall portraiture beautifully matted, framed and glazed, ready to hang in your home or office (Multi apertures available at no additional cost on sizes 24 inches and above)
  • Wrapped canvases printed on archival quality canvas, coated with a giclee museum quality matte, satin or gloss varnish of your choice, stretched on solid pine stretcher bars finished at the back and ready to hang.
  • "Portfolio album" A 20 page album printed on traditional silver halide photographic paper, mounted and bound in a hand-crafted lay-flat album nestled within its own matching or contrasting box. The choice of colours and finishes for this product is huge ensuring each one is totally unique.

Our preferred method of payment is by debit or credit card or BACS payment and we accept the following cards: Mastercard / Visa/ Electron. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express or Diners cards. Please allow up to three weeks for delivery of framed portraits and canvases and up to six weeks for albums.
